Targeting Your Hometown: Warren County Garden

By Stephanie Stang |

With the mild weather the past couple of days some anxious folks have been thinking about yard work and gardening already. But there are some gardens that need work year round and better yet they look good in every season.

A garden in Warren County owned by Bowling Green Businessman Jerry Baker. The garden is full of sculptures, artwork, and lots of trees. The garden is called an arboretum, which is a scientific tree garden that features trees from all over the world. The garden mainly contains conifers, Japanese Maples, and Bonsai trees.

In the center of the garden a pavilion holds artwork by Joe Downing. As the garden grows classes from Western, Girl Scout troops, garden clubs, and the Kentucky Arts Council, have all made visits to study the rare trees and enjoy the tranquility.
