The "Fight Back Express" made a pit stop at Circus Square Park in Bowling Green on July 10.

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network is sponsoring a nationwide bus tour with the goal to make cancer a top national priority.

The Fight Back Express is a rolling petition that volunteers can sign to send a message to Washington D.C.

"It's exciting and I'm glad we can do something for them. I got involved because I lost my sister to cancer and it's just the fight that I have and that I'm working for," said Brenda Turner.

Our very own Chris Allen emceed the event and even put his John Hancock on the bus to show his support.

That statement has totally made me mad. I live on a fixed income I draw ssi & food stamps. Those together don't added up to $700. So I am able to support myself for the first 2 weeks of the month and after that I have to be fed by my best friends, and my brother loans me money that has to be paid back the first of the next month so I'm always running short of money. Since grocerys and gas has got so high I know what it is like to be hungry. I don't call that a mental recession. I call that a reality recession. The man that said that should walk a day in my shoes.
