Special Education students from 11 area school districts gathered at Western Kentucky University to take part in a quiz bowl.
The bowl was an academic competition.
The students were quizzed on everything from math and history to current events and entertainment news.
Amanda Jochim, one of the co-organizers, says: "These students are the ones in the special education classes, so they don't usually have a chance to show what they know, so today is a chance for them to show what they know."
The moderators were all volunteers who work are majoring in Special Education at Western.
Barren County came in first, followed by Greenwood High, and Muhlenberg North in third.
