An Allen county sheriff deputy was involved in a serious injury accident while responding to a 911 emergency call.
According to a Kentucky State Police press release, the deputy was traveling east on U.S. 31E on his way to a burglary, with his emergency equipment activated.
He then entered the intersection of U.S. 31E and KY 101 and failed to see another car traveling on 101 when the collision happened.
Deputy Robert Gaston was flown to a Nashville hospital.
The driver and two passengers in the other vehicle, who were all from Bowling Green were air lifted to Vanderbilt.
