If you ask Michael Drake--nicknamed "Bulldog"--how many children he has, he will say he has as many as there are football players at Bowling Green High School.
Michael is a US Air Force Veteran and a 22-year cancer survivor. Because of radiation treatment, both of his legs have been amputated.
But that hasn't stopped him from doing what he loves most.
Football Coach Kevin Wallace says this type of support has effects beyond the football field.
Coach Wallace also says Michael has turned his passion for Purples success, into a valuable tool for the entire community. He's compiled countless research on Purples football history - complete with years and scores. This hometown hero says despite his physical limitations, his priorities are never compromised.
Michael played football for Bowling Green High School from 1974 until 1976. He says he hopes to inspire a sense of pride and community involvement in all the children who count on him to cheer them on at every game.
