Decker College Facing $55 Million in Bankruptcy Claims

By  |

The bankruptcy trustee for Decker College says a large part of that is a claim by the U-S Department of Education, for 32 million.

The Education department is accusing the school of misappropriating student loans and grant money and manipulating the dates students withdrew to avoid repaying the funds.

The deadline to file claims against Decker is Monday.

The school declared bankruptcy in October and is under federal investigation. Decker officials are accused of conspiracy to commit fraud, wire fraud, financial aid fraud and giving false statements to the federal government.
