Police say over the past few months, the swing sets at H.P. Thomas Park on Debbie Drive in the rear of Shawnee Subdivision have been damaged. On four occasions, the swing seats have been ruined by what appear to be dog teeth-marks.
Authorities believe someone is training dogs to fight, using the rubber seats. The seats were chewed up to the point where children could not use the playground equipment. The "Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department" has replaced the equipment four times, at a cost of $1200.
If you know anything about this vandalism, please call crime stoppers at 781-"CLUE" or click here to go to their Web site. You could earn up to $1,000 for your anonymous tip.
