Jury Convicts Local Man of Bank Robbery

Carlton E. McIntosh, 42, was convicted of first degree bank robber and being a persistent felony offender. His last known address was 302 Combs Avenue.

McIntosh robbed the Fairview Avenue Branch of South Central Bank February 4, 2005, with 21-year-old Delanea D. Slaughter. Slaughter testified against McIntosh in the trial that started Tuesday.

The jury recommended McIntosh serve a life sentence. His final sentencing is set for May 30 in Judge John Grise's court.
