THE 55-YEAR-OLD RICHMOND DEMOCRAT WAS TREATED AT CENTRAL BAPTIST HOSPITAL. MOBERLY SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK IN THE CLOSING HOURS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY SESSION WEDNESDAY NIGHT. A CARDIOLOGIST WHO TREATED MOBERLY SAID THREE MEDICAL STENTS WERE PUT INTO THE CORONARY ARTERY, WHICH WAS ABOUT 90 PERCENT BLOCKED.
MOBERLY HAS BEEN IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY SINCE 1980. HE IS CHAIRMAN OF THE HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS AND REVENUE COMMITTEE.
