Horse Cave and surrounding areas are now under a state of emergency due to the hail storm on April 7th.
Hart County Judge-Executive Terry Martin and Horse Cave Mayor Joanne Smith have declared the state of emergency because of the widespread damage and loss of property.
They say this will enable the city and county to provide services to uninsured and underinsured property owners.
Anyone who is uninsured or underinsured is asked to call 786-2680.
Property damage is estimated to be near 8 million dollars.
