A former Barren County Deputy Jailer is arrested on two felony charges and one misdemeanor charge.

The Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations West Branch says they arrested 60-year-old Patrick E. McKenzie yesterday in Glasgow.

McKenzie is charged with first-degree promoting contraband and theft of a legend drug.

He's also charged with first-degree official misconduct.

The charges allegedly stem from an offense dating back to December of last year.

McKenzie was lodged in the Warren County Jail.

Kentucky State Police say the investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released.

Just last month, Barren County Jailer Leland Cox was arrested and charged with 40 counts of third degree sex abuse.
