The main attraction Thursday morning in Bowling Green was the Cemetery Road design plan.
It brought more than a dozen community leaders from across Kentucky who are looking to take on similar projects. The group attended a panel discussion and presentation at the L & N Depot followed by a visit to the Bowling Green Gateway Corridor.
The beautification project has been in the works since the 1980's. Visitors say they were impressed. "It's amazing. It really makes a difference to put attention in landscape. It looks like people here pay attention to detail and care about their community."
Summer maintenance starts Friday morning with mowing, weeding and treatment of the area from Briteway to the I-65 interchange.
