A Day without Immigrants

You could hear the chanting and cheering from blocks away as immigrants rallied around the Warren County Justice Center Monday protesting stiffer immigration laws.

"We are united in our purpose, our mission in being here today."

Dozens of immigrants waved American flags and carried signs that read "we love the U.S." They were just a few of the thousands of others nationwide who boycotted school and work Monday. Those we talked to said they did not skip work, but asked for a day off because they feared losing their jobs.
