Moussaoui Verdict

A federal jury makes a decision in the Zacarias Moussaoui death penalty trial.

After six weeks of hearing testimony, the jury recommends the Al-Qaida conspirator should be sentenced to life in prison for his role in 9/11.

The decision came in the jury's seventh day of deliberations.

The jury had only two choices, a death sentence or life in prison.

Moussaoui was the only person charged in this country in connection with the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.

Although he was in jail on immigration violations on September 11, the jury ruled his lies kept the government from identifying and stopping some of the hijackers.
