Twenty-five-year-old James Bunch with the Russell County Sheriff's Department was arrested Thursday afternoon by Kentucky State Police. He's charged with two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor. The charges claim that he gave alcohol to two 16 year old girls.

The deputy has resigned from the department. Bunch has been with the sheriff's department for three years.

Russell County Sheriff, Larry Bennett, tells WBKO "If the allegations against Bunch turn out to be true, they will take whatever appropriate action is needed."
