Crime Stoppers: String of Tool Thefts
Bowling Green Police, along with law enforcement agencies in Barren and Allen Counties are investigating a string of burglaries involving tool thefts.

Bowling Green Police, along with law enforcement agencies in Barren and Allen Counties are investigating a string of burglaries involving tool thefts.
Over the past few months, six area businesses have been burglarized, and more than $100,000 in tools have been stolen.
To add insult to injury, once inside the business the burglars are also stealing a customer vehicle or service truck to transport the stolen tools.
The vehicles are abandoned a short time later.
The stolen vehicles have been recovered in the area of Barren River Lake as well as the Best Value Inn on Cumberland Trace Road in Bowling Green.
The thieves are stealing hand tools, mechanics tools, air tools and auto body tools.
