The Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society is urging people to adopt a cat.

Currently, they're receiving more than 20 to 30 cats and kittens a day.

Yesterday, they actually took in 40 furry felines!

So, if you're looking to add a cat to your family then right now is the perfect time to adopt one!

"Our adoption fee for a cat is $75.00, and that covers everything from first round of shots, rabies, microchips, spay and neuter...everything, but as an enticement to get more adopted it's two for $80.00," said Lorri Hare, director.

The agency is also in desperate need of cat litter and Clorox wipes.

I would like to thank WBKO for featuring this story today. Bowling Green/Warren County Adoption Center is nationally renowned with an outstanding adoption rate. But when the facility is overwhelmed with surrenders it can strain the spirit of management, staff and volunteers. Cats and kittens ask so little of us, and give so so much. If you have room in your home for one--or better yet two--cats, please visit the Adoption Center this weekend and find your new best friends. You will be instantly rewarded with much affection, laughter and unconditional love.
