At approximately 11:40 p.m. Thursday, April 6, firefighters were called to the 100 block of Butler Avenue in Bowling Green to investigate an unusual odor. While on their way there, they received a call about a structure fire at 162 Butler Avenue.
Neighbor say they heard a boom, and saw flames shooting from the vacant residence. Investigators have determined the fire was intentionally set. Damage is estimated at $60,000.

And speaking of fires, arson investigators still need your help in finding whoever set the fire that heavily-damaged "Cherry Hall" on Western Kentucky University's campus.
Now authorities are looking for a small hot-cold "Sharper Image" mini-refrigerator and three 19-inch "Dell" monitors which were stolen from the building.
