A new government report names Comair the major airline with the worst on-time performance during July.

The Delta commuter airline based in the Cincinnati area had more than a-third of its flights miss their scheduled arrival times during the month, according to a Transportation Department survey.

Comair also had the worst mishandled baggage rate in July with 9 out of every 1,000 passengers filing complaints.

A Comair spokesman responds that the carrier has been steadily improving its performance over the years, though it continues to struggle in the Northeast.

Officials say overall, the nation's airlines were on time more often during July compared to a year ago, and customers filed fewer complaints about their baggage.
