A second Barren County man pleads not guilty to a 2005 double murder in Scottsville.

Last July, the bodies of 38-year-old Daniel Froedge, and 32-year-old Kelly Johnson were found inside a burned out vehicle on Halifax Road in Allen County.

State police say the fire was a cover-up for the murders.

Last month, 39-year-old Lonnie Freeman of Etoile, and 31-year-old Dustin Asher of Glasgow were charged with the murders.

Wednesday, freeman pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, two counts of evidence tampering, and being a persistent felony offender.

Asher had already pleaded not guilty.

Both are scheduled to stand trial Sept. 26 in Allen Circuit Court.
