Butler County Middle School's principal Hazel Short is suing Chad Flener, a parent and teacher at Morgantown Elementary.
Short says the comments Flener made in an editorial in the Butler County Banner were defamatory.
Her lawyer says she followed all of the rules and regulations.
"She's followed the rules and guidelines the best she can... She's followed the rules and guidelines consistent with other administrators in this area," said Short's lawyer and husband, Randall Short.
The Office of Education Accountability disagrees.
They just finished an investigation into the middle school. It found Short didn't follow the council policy on student assignment and practiced minimal consultation when hiring a math teacher last may.
The investigation also found that Principal Short didn't follow the council policy and bylaw on committees.
The agency did find that Short followed the policy on staff assignments.
Flener's lawyer Currie Milliken hasn't returned our phone calls for a comment on this story.
The Office of Education Accountability sent a report to the school listing resolutions to all of the complaints investigated.
