Tropical Storm Hanna is expected to strike land overnight.

Her torrential rains have left behind a trail of death and destruction in the Caribbean.

Some people consider Hanna only a "dress rehearsal" for the Category 3 Hurricane Ike.

Hanna, a tropical storm, has already been blamed for more than 135 deaths in Haiti and leaving tens of thousands homeless.

Many North Carolina coastal communities are bracing for Hanna, but call it part of the drill.

"Now if they said a one or two or three or four, of course I'd be going home in a going home in a four," said one resident.

Many officials say the main concerns in North Carolina are the potential for flooding and beach erosion.
