The Bowling Green Police Department releases its stats for its Over the Limit Under Arrest campaign against drunk driving.
Over the course of the campaign, sobriety checkpoints were set up throughout town, Resulting in officers making a total of 64 DUI arrests.
Hundreds of citations were also issued for seatbelt violations, speeding and other traffic offenses.
Overall, BGPD officals are happy with the results and say the campaign was a huge success.

"I think the campaign was a success by the fact that we took 60 impaired drivers off the roadway and wrote a number of other citations. On the flip-side of that coin though, it's disappointing that we haven't sent the message loud and clear that we're not going to tolerate impaired drivers in our community," said Barry Pruitt, of the BGPD.
The Over the Limit Under Arrest campaign wrapped up after the Labor Day weekend.
