Preparation for Primaries Underway

By Courtney Lassiter |

Preparation for tomorrow's primaries is underway and 4:30PM is the deadline for absentee voters.
This afternoon at Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green, County Clerk Dot Owens and her co leagues set up the new voting machines for the Tuesday Primary.
Owens says turnout for the 2006 Primary is considerably low.
She also says this year's Primaries haven't drawn as much attention as in year's past because of the low number of candidates.

"It hasn't been too high the absentee voting has been low so I'm assuming it's going to be low turnout."

There are about 1200 registered voters at the Eastwood Baptist Church location and she's expecting about a 250 turnout.
Please note that some of the precincts have changed!
