Students and faculty at Bowling Green Technical College are celebrating the start of the school year.

Bowling Green Technical College hosted its Third Annual Back to School Bash today.

The purpose of this event is to help students get involved in the community, and the school's student government association.

"i'm a big advocate for students activities and extracurricular activities while in college. I think that's an important piece for students to know about to add to their education and i want them to be aware of what they can contribute themselves to our community.", said Denna White-Admissions Recruiter Advisor
White says there were 30 area businesses that set up booths at the Back to School Bash to show off their services to students and help them get involved.

I am knowledgeable about the Technical Schools in Kentucky. They were established to prepare students for the world of work and to meet the needs of business and industry, both local and nationwide. It is good to see that the students will have an opportunity to engage with local companies in order to gain knowledge and experience of the world of work. Opportunities are for those who not only know how, but why.
