Five people were sent to the hospital and several businesses sustained damage, after a storm packing 80 mile per hour winds rolled through Campbellsville.
Taylor County 9-11 Supervisor Ann Sanders said three people working at a movie gallery video rental store had to be rescued.
Two other people who were in the drive-thru line at a nearby Arby's restaurant were also hospitalized following the storm.
Bill Edwards at Taylor Regional Hospital said a couple of the victims would be hospitalized overnight, but that none of the injuries were life-threatening. Officials said power was also out in the downtown area and that traffic on some portions of Kentucky 210 were being re-routed.
The weather may have also caused a fatal accident in Jessamine County, near Lexington, after a tree fell on a man who was driving nearby.
It's believed straight-line winds blew the tree over on the car, while the man was traveling down the road.
