Kentucky State Police discover the body of a second man killed in a crash in Metcalfe County.
The first man, Phillip England was found Friday lying in a ditch on KY Highway 1243 in Metcalfe County. He was taken to T.J. Samson Hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy showed England had been in an automobile accident, though detectives had found no evidence of a collision.
After returning to the scene Sunday, an officer found a wrecked car two tenths of a mile from where England was located. It had been hidden by dense undergrowth and trees.
A canine unit was called to the scene and found the body of 41-year-old Dwight Fancher. KSP says it appears Fancher and England were southbound on Highway 1243 when Fancher lost control of the vehicle in a curve, overcorrected, and traveled over the embankment. Their vehicle struck a large brush pile and overturned, throwing them both out.
An autopsy on Fancher's body will be performed Monday.
