A billion-dollar expansion at the UPS air hub in Louisville was finalized in less than two months, with one of the most generous tax incentive packages in the state's history.
The expansion is expected to add 5,000 jobs at UPS' Worldport by 2010.
Other sites were in the running for the one billion dollar expansion, but officials say Louisville had a distinct advantage in addition to the state offering more than 50 million dollars in tax breaks.
The mayor of Louisville says ups has dealt with the Louisville community and knows it well.
