Local law enforcement is out in full-force not only on the roads but also on the water.
On Barren River Lake, law enforcement is making sure everyone is following the rules.
"We are full state law enforcement officers... We enforce all the laws of the commonwealth. We focus on the laws of hunting fishing and boating... So we can do it all but we focus on what we're out here to do," said Sergeant Brett Zalla, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife.
Zalla says this holiday is one of their busiest but so far law enforcement hasn't run into any major problems.
