Drivers in Kentucky are learning about the booming wild turkey population the hard way.
Although collisions between the turkeys and cars are rare, the 20 pound birds can cause damage.
Semi Truck Driver Vincent Rose smashed into one recently.
It crashed through his windshield, and broken glass went flying.
A Department of Fish and Wildlife Official says there are about 250,000 turkeys in the state.
That is up from about 1,000 in the 1980's.
