3 Indicted for Elderly Abuse in Brownsville Nursing Home

Three employees of Genesis Healthcare Edmonson Center Nursing Home in Brownsville face 69 charges of abusing patients.

BROWNSVILLE, KY -- On Wednesday, September 3, the Edmonson County Grand Jury returned indictments on three individuals, stemming from an investigation conducted by the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green, at Genesis Healthcare Edmonson Center Nursing Home in Brownsville. A total of 69 criminal charges were brought against three employees.

Jerry Matthew Snyder of Leitchfield was arrested and charged with 14 counts of Criminal Abuse 1st degree (adult), two counts of Wanton Endangerment 2nd degree, 14 counts of Assault 4th degree, and 14 counts of Knowingly abuse/neglect of adult by person.

Kayla D. Kinser of Leitchfield was arrested and charged with four counts of Criminal Abuse 1st degree (adult), two counts of Wanton Endangerment 2nd degree, one count of Assault 4th degree, and four counts of Knowingly abuse/neglect of an adult by person

Kelly D. Duvall of Sweeden was arrested and charged with four counts of Criminal Abuse 1st degree (adult), two counts of Wanton Endangerment 2nd degree, four counts of Assault 4th degree, and four counts of Knowlingy abuse/neglect of adult by person.

The Kentucky State Police was assisted in the investigation by the Office of the Attorney General, the Office of the Inspector General, and the Edmonson County Sheriff, Wil Cannon.
