One Bowling Green resident got the chance of a lifetime. He attended last night's Presidential debate in Nashville.

Belmont University freshman Thomas Dooley won the debate ticket through a student lottery.

Dooley says the lottery was controlled by the government, and only a few students got the chance to attend the debate.

He says it was amazing to witness a piece of history in such a historic election.

"It was interesting, seeing how everything works behind the scenes. What the people see on T.V. is not at all what you as a live spectator sees. Pretty cool", said Dooley.

Dooley says, one of the things you didn't see on TV are the school shut down, and Secret Service as well as security cameras on every inch of Belmont's campus.
