While the economy remains uncertain, it's yard sale season that's still going strong.

That means many of you may be visiting these sales more often to hunt for the best price around.

"I saw it in the Country Peddler, and I'm just looking for some good deals," said Walter Norris, a Bowling Green resident.

No matter what you're shopping for...

"Sports... car racing... tennis," said Norris.

You can more than likely find something you like at a yard sale.

"I really like going to yard sales and the book sales," said Norris. "You really find a lot of good deals in all of that, so I'm going to one right after this one, too."

And with the current state of the economy, every buyer could use a good deal.

"You can always deal with the people," said Norris. "Maybe if you think the price is too high you can talk with them a little bit and they may go down. It's not like it's a set price and you've got to go with that."

Norris isn't too worried yet.

"I'm not going to worry about it," said Norris. "I'm just going to stick with the investments that I have and just try to take it one day at a time."

But he does know others are concerned.

"I think most people are scared, and I think they're really watching how they spend their money," said Norris.

He does plan to shop at as many yard sales as he can, and he feels many others will do the same.

But he also says shoppers are not the only ones who enjoy yard sales.

"Plus I think they'll have more yard sales, too, to try to help them make more money," said Norris.

Norris adds he enjoys shopping at yard sales like the one for A Voice for Animals because he finds good deals while his money also goes for a good cause.
