WKU Football Player Drowns

Western Kentucky University football players are mourning the loss of one of their teammates after an apparent drowning.

Trey McMiller, a freshman wide receiver from Apopka, Florida and teammate Nate Jenkins, were fishing yesterday near London, Ky. when their canoe overturned and both players fell into the water.

While Jenkins escaped without any injuries, McMiller drowned. The 19-year-old played sparingly last season for WKU, but at the end of spring drills last weekend, he was getting lots of snaps with the first team offense.
