Tramon R. Weatherford, 33, crashed a motorcycle in June of 2004, killing his passenger, 25-year-old Kelly J. Smith of Scottsville.

An "Alford Plea" means Weatherford does not admit any guilt, but believes a jury could find him guilty if the case went to court.

The commonwealth is recommending he serve seven years in prison.

Earlier this year, Weatherford was arrested on drug trafficking charges and received a five years for those charges. His final sentencing is set for July 10.
