Crime Stoppers: Attempted Kidnapping

By  |

Bowling Green police are investigating an attempted kidnapping. Just after midnight, Thursday, May 25, a 20-year-old woman was walking outside her apartment complex off Nashville Road.

A white male grabbed her from behind, placed a knife to her throat, and made her go with him. He forced her into an older, dark-colored, four-door car.

Suddenly, the man apologized and told the woman to get out of the car. She ran to her apartment without looking back.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, six-feet-two to six-feet-four inches tall, weighing 160-to-175 pounds. He has short hair, and was last seen wearing a white tank top with shorts, and flip-flops or sandals.

"Crime Stoppers" Coordinating Officer Barry Pruitt says: "In situations like these, it's very important to remain calm. When we go out at night, we need to be aware of our surroundings. Know what's going on around us."
