There's another opening on the state's highest court.
Justice William Cooper says he will step down from the bench on June 30th.
Justice Martin Johnstone will also retire at the end of June.
Governor Fletcher will choose temporary replacements for Cooper and Johnstone from a list supplied by the State's Judicial Nominating Commission.
Appeals Court Judge John Minton of Bowling Green is running to fill Cooper's seat in the Fall.
Cooper served as Hardin County Circuit Court Judge from 1979 to 1996 before moving to the State Supreme Court.
