The days of school newsletters may soon be gone. In fact one middle school is using technology to keep students and faculty up to date on events going on at their school.
97.3 is a low power FM radio station produced by students at Drakes Creek Middle School. Twenty-five students report, write, edit, and produce their own newscast. The program has been underway for about a year and a half now. Teacher Tom Bromer, says the radio station teaches students valuable communication skills. In addition, teachers and parents can stay informed about events going on at the school.
