The search is on for Kentucky State Police as they look for marijuana plants. Troopers say they found 100 plants in three different locations in Northern Hart County.
The street value of the plants is estimated at $150,000. Kentucky State Police received several tips from area residents. They then used a helicopter to narrow the search.
Chief Helicopter Pilot, Brian Carlisle, says he looks for anything unusual when searching for marijuana. The marijuana will be destroyed at an undisclosed location. Police say this is the first of several searches that will be going on this summer.
