A Knott County man is now the 13th coal miner in Kentucky to die on the job this year.
The high wall of the surface mine collapsed on him as he operated a drill yesterday.
State officials say the body of Jason Mosley was recovered around 11 a.m. at the Smith Branch Number One Mine near Hindman.
The mine had beed inspected twice since it began operations last October.
It was cited for faulty equipment in December and June.
