The President of Churchill Downs says he'll push again for more gambling at horse tracks in Kentucky.

Bob Evans made the statement November 6 in a conference call with investors and analysts.

Churchill Downs supported a measure earlier this year that would have amended Kentucky's constitution to allow casinos at racetracks and other locations.

That measure failed in the General Assembly.

Evans says passage of a referendum to allow slot machines at Maryland horse tracks leaves Kentucky as the only state that hosts a Triple Crown race not to allow slot machines at its tracks.

I don't much care what Churchhill Downs wants. They have no right to ask Ky. voters to pass a casino law. It is immoral to have casino gambling & it doesn't all of the answers for education that the people who want casino gambling try to tell us it does. Just ask the states that have already have casino gambling & see how much good it did their schools. If the Legislature ever does put it to a vote, I hope every citizen of Ky. turns it down.
