Internet users in some rural Western Kentucky counties will be able to get a high speed connection thanks to a project funded by state and coal severance funds.
Building the network has presented some problems, but project officials say in the end, most users in a seven-county area will have access to faster internet.
According to the Messenger-Inquirer, the service should begin adding customers in Mclean, Union, Webster and Henderson Counties in December.
About 300 customers are already on the system in Daviess, Ohio and Hancock counties.
