A Glasgow man may get the death penalty after being found guilty for murder and kidnapping. Late last night a Barren County jury found Nate Wood of Glasgow guilty of shooting and killing his former girlfriend 33 year old Anna Jones.
He was also found guilty of kidnapping Jones as well as Burldean Summers. Eighty-ine-year-old Summers was held hostage in her home in Burkesville that same day. Wood was found guilty of second-degree assault and violation of an emergency protection order. In addition the jury found him guilty for the shooting and wounding of Fred Tisdale of Louisville.
Now the jury is considering a death penalty for his sentence. The jury's recommendation is expected to be reached by late Thursday evening. Tomorrow the jury will consider sentencing for Wood's charges that are not eligible for the death penalty.
