Barack Obama may not have tabbed Hillary Clinton as his running mate... but he does want her in his administration.
Reports say Obama offered Clinton the "Secretary of State" position, and Clinton seems poised to accept.
If Clinton is installed as the new Secretary of State, she would be the third female behind Madeline Albright and Condoleezza Rice.
But does the former first lady have the right stuff for the job?
"I think it would be a really great move for the country," says Bowling Green resident Jenna Daniel.
"I believe it would be a wonderful thing," agrees Sarah Cloud.
"I think she'll be a good choice," echoes Judy Owen.
These women say Clinton would bring a lot to the table as a member of Barack Obama's Cabinet.
"She's obviously well-rounded in the political arena. She knows whats going on. She has her opinion and I believe she's very grounded in what she believes and where she stands," expresses Daniel.
"She's gonna teach Obama. Give him her expertise," notes Owen.
Not everyone believes its a "slam dunk" Clinton will do a good job based on her failed run for the presidency.
"I didn't quite trust her toward the end. In the beginning I was really kind of looking and listening and I kind of though that she went back on a few things. She was very accusatory of things I felt she was guilty of," admits Bowling Green resident Juanita Rodriguez.
Yet the consensus is a lot of Clinton's success hinges on how well she and Obama can get along.
"We don't have time for the conflicts. We need to come together and I think that both of them will be able to do that," Owen says.
So having a women in the cabinet shows continued progress for women to one day run the "White House".
"In this day and age, its evident. There's no negotiating that women can have that power," Daniel boldly states.
"The more women we see in government is getting to be a little more commonplace. So the chances of having a woman president in the future is that much more possible," Rodriguez says.
The ladies also told me they truly believe if Clinton can be successful in the role of Secretary of State, it could set her up for an eventual turn as President of the United States.
