She's a world traveler and now an accomplished athlete.
Bethaney Adams is a competitive wheelchair athlete. She recently returned from Poland where she placed 22ND out of 60 in the World Cup Wheelchair Fencing Competition.
Bethaney has only been practicing for four months, but she's already set some pretty ambitious goals for herself.
"Ever since I was 12, I've looked for some sports to get involved in. I want to become a paralympic athlete so that's my goal, to qualify for the 2008 paralympic games."
Bethaney spends hours practicing each week at WKU and travels to Louisville on the weekends to meet with her coach.
"It's so exciting. I get to travel and see the world. It's hard work, but it's worth it."
