Bank Robber Convicted

After a four-day trial, the jury convicted 48-year-old Richard Allen Washam of two counts of armed bank robbery and two counts of using a firearm during the commission of a federal crime of violence.

Bank employees identified Washam as the man who robbed the US Bank at 1970 Cave Mill Road on March 26 and April 24, 2003. Washam stole $8,872 in the combined robberies.
