Rachel Scott was the first student killed in the shootings in April, 1999.
Her six diaries have become an educational tool for students across the world.
Rachel's Challenge is a program that was formed by her family and inspired by her journals.
The program came to Butler County to discuss Rachel's life and the five challenges those with the organization want the students to take with them.
Those challenges are to eliminate prejudice, set goals and start a journal, choose your influences carefully, use kind words and start a chain reaction with your family and friends.
"The big thing I want to see these kids take is accepting these challenges in their personal life, not for the next few days, but actually for the rest of their lives," said Shane Hamman, with Rachel's Challenge.
