Kentucky Firefighters Head West to Help Extinguish Flames

Forty firefighters left Kentucky this week to help put out fires in Wyoming.

The firefighters are from Daniel Boone National Forest, Pine Knot Job Corps, Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, Mammoth Cave National Park, Land Between the Lakes, and Obed Wild and Scenic River in Tennessee.

The two 20-person teams will go to the Jackson Canyon Fire in Wyoming where more than 10,000 acres have burned.
