Kentucky Lottery Sales

Today Kentucky lottery officials announced that with a new Tennessee lottery starting next year sales will drop. The Kentucky lottery is expected to lose $35 million in revenue. Officials estimate that ten to 12-percent of sales come from people crossing the state line to buy tickets.

Although a huge loss in sales is predicted many lottery business owners are optimistic sales will remain steady. Many owners say customers will still come to Kentucky to buy Powerball tickets.

Kentucky Lotto Officials hope to expand their lottery to include new games to help offset the loss of business.
