Governor Fletcher came to Bowling Green, with your safety top on his mind.
Fletcher presented Homeland Security checks to local officials, who will support the efforts of local first responders.
Bowling Green and Warren County received more than $700,000 in funding awards.
Governor Fletcher says these funds will specifically go towards the purchase of mobile data computers, that will go in police cruisers and other first responder vehicles.
"It allows them to have interoperability to have access to entire data base and it allows them to interact...intercommunication....if they have for example...a natural disaster....or some terroristic threat," Fletcher said.
Governor Fletcher is also scheduled to speak at the Chamber breakfast on Friday, he says he will speak about several things that affect Warren County residents.
